Welcome to EZ Over Threshold

In Florida and other coastal communities, events such as severe thunderstorms, hurricanes, and flooding are a common threat.   Because of such weather, the local building codes often specify a taller than normal threshold to seal the sliding door from leaks.  For example, the Miami-Dade building code establishes a water penetration requirement that necessitates a threshold height of several inches, making it impossible for a wheelchair to clear.   Additionally, this high threshold creates a "Trip Hazard" that causes many people to fall, sometimes resulting in serious injury.

Ramp used to bridge dangerously high threshold. NON compliant with ADA guidelines.

Until the EZ-Over Threshold™ was invented the only product available for this market was a threshold ramp.  Where thresholds are two inches or more in height, ramps are almost always unable to meet ADA requirements, are expensive and have a limited value if any.  Additionally, ramps lack popularity among builders and homeowners alike as they are large and unattractive.  The EZ-Over Threshold™ offers a less intrusive, more appealing alternative to threshold ramps.   The United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued us a patent on our invention.
